Rear quarter skins

-
Lots of videos on youtube showing ways to do this.

Have anyone installed skins on a Duster , do you butt weld or overlap?
Here's a great video about this very topic from a guy in my area I know that is a fantastic metal shaper/bodyman.

Very down- to -earth explanations and he has become an internet phenom !!

Butt weld is best but, it is very labor intensive & takes a long time to do right, but it's the best way. Proper tools & a lot of patients. Watch as many videos on this as you can before tackling the job yourself. IMHO.

Fitzee is the first place I go on You Tube to learn how to do panel welding. He makes his butt cuts at a 45 degree angle and they lay right together. I'd probably go to work for him for free for a month just to learn!

Another YouTube guy I learn a lot from is Carl Fisher of his channel "Make it Custom". He's a young guy, but very knowledgeable & enjoyable to watch also.

Butt weld, as overlap from back of panel doesnt look factory, requires lot more filler etc. Have a look at my build thread as starting to upload pics of the quarter repairs etc and how its done.
