Anyone try having rear springs rearched to gain back an inch or two on sagging original springs. Where can this be done and what does it cost? are the results satisfactory?

most larger towns/ cities have a spring shop...that does spring from light duty cars to hd trucks, they usually rearch springs. I'd say it would still cost 100.00 at least.

I did mine myself...all you need is a press

Dont get over zealous as I did, a little goes a long way

I had to actually remove a leaf or 2 (i forget if it was 1 or 2) to bring it back down to where i wanted it

I bought brand new springs for about 30 dollars apiece. JRsprings...

Thanks. Lot's of good ideas. Hey SleeperScamp, where is JRsprings? Got a phone #, email address or web site? And Sanguine, when you put them in a press did you put pressure just on the center of the spring or did you support them at the ends and put pressure to the whole spring?
