Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. I have a 65 Barracuda and I think my rear wheel bearings have or are failing. How do I replace them? I see I can get them from my local parts place but I have no idea how to get to them.

Here is something that may help

Youwill need to pull the drums and the brake backing plates are held on by 4 7.25 rear or 5 nuts 8.75 rear take these off , slide the drum on the lug studs backwards attach a few nuts to the lug studs and use the drum as a slide hammer to pull the axle out. This works for the 8.75. The 7.25 you may have to pull the differential cover too, may be c clips or retainers on the axle but I dont think so. DD

Like DD said and to replace the bearings they need to be carefully cut off and new ones pressed on. I'd suggest that if you don't have a press just take them to a machine shop and have them change them.

Like DD said and the 7 1/4"s don't have clips in the middle just remove the nuts and pull them out.
