Rear window rust repair without welding

-
Get the body water tight before any interior work is started. Suspension and brake work can be done while body work is under way. The goal should be a safe road worthy car that is dry inside before cosmetics are tended too if you plan on using car before restoration is finished.

As mentioned previously, fiberglass will not permanently bond to metal, and if any moisture (microscopic amounts from humid day) is trapped under the glass, that patch is going to bubble up and delaminate. Make your patches out of metal, and weld them in for a permanent repair.

It may seem like a lot of extra work welding in hand made patches, but if repair is made incorrectly, you will be re doing the job at some point. So I say; why is it one has time to do the job twice, but enough time to do it once right?

My 2 cents.
