One rebuilt 340 HP engine and real 340 HP 727 trans out of a running and driving 73 Challenger. I had my ace mechanic remove the heads to inspect everything and he found fresh bores with oversized pistons and re-done heads. He reassembled the engine using Fel-Pro gaskets. I would estimate 5k miles on motor if I had to guess. Rebuilt to stock 72-73 specs. I am selling this because I have two 340 engines and only have use for one of them that I am going to put in a 65 Dodge A100 pickup.

As for the trans, there are no pits on the case at all. It was always stored inside. Comes with original 340 torque converter. Part number is PK3681052 on the trans pan rail. Correct part number for all 1972 and 1973 A, B and E body 340 HP cars. As I said transmission came out of the running and driving car but I would simply have it inspected before using it. Very rare!

I am asking only $1,600.00 cash for the pair as a package or separately $300 for the trans and $1,500.00 for the engine. Please realize that the engine has $300 to $400 worth of bolt on parts on it, which include the four barrel Edelbrock Torker 340 aluminum intake, the brand new chrome valve covers, the perfect lower crank pulley, the chrome oil pan, the water pump, the fuel pump, the hoisting fixture and miscellaneous brackets. I will also throw in a set of 318 motor mounts that have been modified to work well with the deal.

I can deliver or meet you at a reasonable distance (I will go as far south as just north of Cincinatti, Oh) for my gasoline cost. I will also be willing to secure these items to a pallet and deliver them to the freight shipper of your choice. The word on the street is that Fastenal is offering good prices on this service. Go online for a quote at Fastenal.com/3pl. The engine weighs 500 lbs and the trans with converter is around 100 lbs. The nearest Fastenal location is in Port Huron with zip code 48060. You may also consider Yellow Freight or anyone else. You make the arrangements, I will not do this as it is much easier for you. I am asking only $1,600.00 for the engine and trans w/converter. I am in St. Clair, MI Dave. I have a couple of extra photos that I could not post here.
