My 63 Dart came with 13” tires, probably 6.50x13 Want to put more tire on the car to improve driving, it gets really skittish once you get above 60mph.Any suggestions.I bought small bolt pattern Chrysler rallyes so wider tires are possible but what will fit in the wheel wells ?

My 63 Valiant had 205/70/14's on the front. I ran 15's on the rear @ 215/75/15.
The foot pattern was about the same.
205/70/14 all round would fit nice. You can go larger on rears for looks.Up to you.

215 70 14 is a nice size. @Johnny Dart has a car with those on it. Maybe he will post a pic or two since I tagged him.

Not a fan of Rallye wheels on early A bodies. That's just my opinion. I like steel wheels on them, especially the 14" x 5.5" Chrysler steel wheels. Here is a pic of the mentioned wheels, with 215/70-14 tires. 205/70-14 or 215/70-14 both work well on A bodies.

I don't like rallyes on um either. But then, I don't like rallyes at all. LOL Your junk always looks good.

Silly question.... how wide are they? (Inside bead to inside bead)
Standard 14" small bolt steel wheels are 4.5" wide.
The 340 cars got the 14" x 5.5" steel wheels.
So inside (bead to bead) is 5.5"
