Ok before you all go off on the safety aspects etc.

I got it. I thought it out. I weighed the pros and cons.

I'm all good!

In 4 hours I raised the temp in the garage from 45 to 56 degrees!

Currently it's 37 outside.

That wouldn't work for me, I have too many "stinky chemicals" the wife says lol.

That’s a lot of Diet Pepsi! I drink it too

My wife is addicted

If your garage is insulated, I think it is a good solution

Unfortunately not. but I'm going to do the door, it is 100% drywalled inside though.

Eye on the prize motivation

Got to finish the snowball of a temp gauge replacement, Now I'm replacing the trans rear seal and the pan and filter

uh, but my garage isn't attached to the house

Just need a long piece of 12" duct

That was one of my considerations and luckily there hasn't been a car started in the garage for a week so it's not too bad

How about a ceramic heater? I have one that I point at myself where I am working. Does an okay enough job.

You say the garage is not insulated? I would definitely rip out all the sheetrock and put in insulation. If there is a way to insulate the ceiling, do that to. My garage is fully insulated, and a small 240V wall mounted heater works well.

I do that with a milk house heater. knock the initial chill down with a torped, open the big door for a big gulp of fresh air. Nice and toasty. Insulated of course.

I'm tempted to try this
2 for one tool.

Leave the dryer as is.

Vent it into the room.= Room heater
Toss in some tumbling stones and it's a parts tumbler!

Or leave it alone, but remove the belt = room heater

Mount a chop saw on top!

Make a metal box to fit inside the drum but mounted to the front of the dryer.

Heated paint curing box ( be sure it is sealed to the air flow)
