Yes on the holes.
But if the sides did not scratch your bumper when installed, you could get some stainless steel carriage bolts the right size to plug the holes. (similar head to bumper bolts) Hardware stores have them.

Yes there will be two holes each one , you can use bumper bolts that would help.
