Its been awhile since I have removed a windshield but I got one out without cracking it today. I just WD40'd around the windshield using a flat nylon windshield pencil type tool to break the seal. I got the tool from a windshield shop (n/c). Once the gasket bond was broken I stuffed 14/2 lumex along the sides of the windshield between the edge of the glass and the gasket. This makes it way easier to push out from behind as it gets the gasket out of the way. I moved the passenger side out first from the top down. No rust! I love Arizona cars.
