Removing 68 Hood hinge retainers

I searched the forum but didn't see this information. I apologize up front if it has been answered already. My hood is off (68 Barracuda) and I need to remove the hinges. I see 3 retaining pins(?) on each side. They are round so I was wondering how I get them off without damaging them. Thanks.

Pull off the push washers that hold the hinges in place. The pins stay attached to the body. You will need new push star washers, available at your local hardware store.

I take it any kind of pliers will work? I'll give it a shot tonight. I hope to paint the engine bay, firewall, and so forth within the next two weeks. Got to get this area cleaned up too. Thanks for the reply. You are helping me to restore a car you know.
