I'm looking for a 2-year "fix" to chrome that is peeling on my front bumper due to repeated contact with the jack. I saw a thread below for spray paint. I'm wondering about the utility of a stick on chrome tape that I found online. I'm thinking that I could cut two rectangular patches (maybe 6 inches wide) that would start about 2 inches above the bottom edge and wrap around the bottom edge to the back.
I'll eventually have the bumper re-chromed - but I'm trying to spread the restoration cost over a couple of years. I'm currently having the body restored and repaired.
