Iversons Automotive will do your originals back to perfect condition, but it won't be cheap! If you saw some of the absolute crap he has redone, you would think he replaced them with perfect NOS pieces!! That guy is amazing!! Geof ......
You are right on the money here. About 10 years back I had him replate the headlight eyebrow trim on my 65 Olds 4-4-2. They are L-shaped pieces about 8 inches long in total length and less than 1/2" wide with a pretty simple contour. Mine were not missing any studs, but plating was blistering and fading. They came back perfect, 4-months after promised delivery and $350. This stuff is very expensive to do well. The ~$1K for the pictured inserts from Paul's is what I would have expected. L8r
