Trying to find an aluminum intake that my factory 340 breather will work on under a stock hood.

I know the LD 340 would work, but who wants to pay that much!

Thanks

Are you worried that the height of the aluminum intake will interfere with the hood ?? The LD340 might be a little pricey but for a stock engine and factory look probably your best bet. If $$ is the determining factor, leave it alone cause none of em are gonna make much if any difference especially if that's the only thing your adding.
Just my opinion others may differ.
Good luck with your project.

LD 340, performer, and possibly one of the weiand twins. everything else* will require a drop base.

like for like, the stock intake holds its own against any of those with no appreciable gains on a fairly stock motor.

*performer RPM may fit
**most aftermarket intakes eliminate the coil mount and all except the performer do away with AC mounts, if that is of a concern to you.

Weiand stealth manifold is also a very solid high-rise that would fit the bill. There's been one advertised for sale on the for sale section here

Yes, I have concerns of singing a very nice factory 340 breather.

Yes, I really don’t want to sing that pricey air cleaner. You may be right about that he LD 340. It’s just hard to pay that kind of money
