I had a little time to work on the car last night so I replaced the ammeter with this voltmeter. It's a 1 1/2" Autogauge that I got from Summit. Fits right in the hole, and requires little modification.

I've upgraded to a higher output alternator. The factory 40 Amp Ammeter wasn't designed to handle the load.

I did the same to mine a while back, but went further and replaced the temp gauge and put the O/P light with a gauge. Came out nice and works fine.

That's a nice, clean installation! I think I might've painted the gauge needle orange to match the others.

I considered painting the needle, but for this car it's good enough like it is. If someone wanted to they could make it look like a factory installation like Redline is doing.
