Well I'm super disappointed I found a crack in one of my fully ported 452 heads, I wanted to have an iron headed hammer but I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on another set of iron heads, for now I have a set of 516s that are bowl blended and cleaned up I'm going to use just to get this thing going.

I'm starting to save for a set of aluminum heads and I'm looking for some advice, I don't want to go with an rpm or a stealth head that would limit me on a future build,"not saying they are bad heads by any means", but I was thinking more along the line of victor heads, they are very good ootb and have huge potential after port work, more so than the new trick flow heads. All advice and opinions are welcome!

Victors are pretty damn nice.. My head shop guy, has a set on the bench. I thought 350-360 cfm intake flow is what he stated, not done yet... I don't see a head that matches it,for building for future growth. My limited knowledge, let's bump it to the forefront. Might check with Mike at MRL,IQ52 here,or Brian at IMM (OU812 here..)

The Victors have fewer choices for rocker arms, and there are apparently some issues with the strength of the rocker pedestals with serious spring pressures. They flow very well when ported, I have a set sitting in my basement waiting for the money burn bag to refill. All issues can be worked around if there's money to do so. S/F....Ken M

ThanKs..

If you plan on running a big roller cam, you can mill the pedestals off and go to substantial stud mounted billet stands, like on the max wedge cars. I haven't done it, I plan on going flat tappet. S/F.....Ken M

I don't think I would be that crazy with spring pressure, just a flat tappet cam, and I've been looking into the Hughes rocker arms too. At $575 they seem pretty nice with good reviews
