I thought I'd ask before starting, is there enough room to pull the power steering pump and replace without pulling the motor first

I was able to pull the PS pump without removing the engine.

For that mater I was able to replace the gear without removing the engine, but I did loosen the motor mount to jack it up a bit.

The pump is attached to the front of the engine with brackets. I think you mean the steering gear box.

I replaced my gear box while i had the motor out.
But if you have the stock exhaust manifolds you should be able to do it with out moving the motor, that's how my bother did his. (72 duster 318 )

You will need room to move it up, forwards, back, and a little to the sides.

With my TTI headers there is no room so i would have to move the headers around.

Maybe If you have pics of your bay others can see if you have room.

Do you have headers or stock manifold?

Sorry about that, I ment the steering box
I've replace the box in my Barracuda, without the motor it was pretty simple

this is my 16yr. olds 68 Dart it has stock exhaust manifolds and it looks like it will slide out the front but I didn't want to get to far into this and then find out I would have to pull the motor after all

thanks for the info. in advance
