My 5.9 Magnum build has 650 miles on it. It runs great. I used the valve cover gaskets that were original to the engine and I'm getting a little oil leaking so I bought new gaskets.

While I have the valve covers off should I reset lifter preload? The engine runs great and I'm not getting any drive train noise. I did notice at TDC I'm able to barely spin #1 pushrods. Isn't it better to have a less preload than a little too much?

Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming you have adjustable rockers?? Anyways, sounds like your good and I'd leave it alone.

how far down are your adjuster balls
take a look while you have the valve overs off
short necks say 3 threads
long neck from threads to ball no threads
