Ok, I bought a used gauge cluster from a fellow FABO brother and I had posted about how do I remove the woodgrain trim and was told to use oven cleaner to do so. My question is, Do I just apply and the woodgrain will peel off? Also I was going to refinish the woodgrain areas of the dash by trying to find a new kind of "woodgrain" or other design for the the cluster and was wondering how I could restore the silver type chrome edges on the cluster. What is the best way, and what could I use to make these look "chromed" I do not want to just paint the outline silver, it would look cheesy in my opinion. Does anyone out here know of anyone who deals in a new type of "woodgrain" or something different I could use on the cluster? One other question please. Would I "restore" the plastic clear windows in the cluster by using that same stuff that's used for plastic headlight lenses?
