Restoring washer/ overflow bottle

Does anyone know of a way to restore the plastic washer fluid and overflow bottles? Mine need to be done on a couple of vehicles.

Rice or pea gravel to clean the inside. Just make sure you get it all out.

go to www.moparts.com and in the restoration forum page 8 or 9
the formulas are there to turn yellowed plastic white again.
i don't know if they work.
