like all custom modifications and add ons or deletions,they aren't for everyone. different tastes in colors,engine swaps, and body designs. "different strokes for.....". well you get the idea.
anyway i had always planned on some sort of rear wing for the wayback. my original thought were to construct a one off from scratch, and i would have except this idea came along. it all starts with a 2005 crossfire convertible decklid. once disassembled i seperated the skin from the shell and trimmed that down to what was needed to comply with shape of the lancer's trunk lid. a few screws were used to hold it in place and then welded in and made permanent. the welds were then dressed and body filler applied and blocked. then polyester primer was laid down
