I'm about to put my fuel system together and need to know whether I need a regulator with a return line. The car is a '71 Duster with a 360/414 smallblock stroker, (460hp/511 torque), 800 dp holley, air gap, Mopar ported iron heads, Comp 242/[email protected], .558/.573 cam,TTI headers, 2.5 exhaust, 9.4:1 hyper pistons, stick shift tranny ,MSD ignition, 3.55 geared 9.25. I have the Holley blue pump with regulator but was told I need to upgrade. Which is better a Vane or Gerotor type? I'm considering Mallory 140 series pumps. Any Ideas?

I run a Holley Blue pump as well. Never had any problems with it besides the noise(10years). As for the return line, I believe you need a regulator with a by-pass port, with a fuel line routed back to the fuel tank. Just my 2 cents, as others might have more info on this subject.
