Reverse light on dashboard

Where do you hook the single wire lead coming out of the replacement reverse light that mounts on the lower dash above the shifter? The 340 4 speed Dart I just purchased did not have one.

I ran mine through the firewall and tapped into the wire from the reverse light switch on the transmission.

For 1969, there is a white wire with a black tracer that runs from the firewall junction block to the body plug connection behind the left kick panel. Tie into this wire anywhere you can.
