I was looking at the new RHS/Indy heads at the show in Clay city this weekend. The std. intake gasket Fel Pro #1213 fits the intake ports really well but the std. exhaust gasket don't fit very well. A std. head header gasket is not a bad fit at the outboard ports but it hangs over pretty good at the roof on the two center exhaust ports. I tried a W2 header gasket and it was a better fit somewhat but still not what you could call great. Yes ...the gasket can be trimmed...but that wouldn't fix the header flang hanging over the same amount too. I didn't try a Magnum header gasket ( didn't have one ) so I don't know about how that one fits. I know these are brand new castings just released in June, BUT did they just put this new head together without working out the bugs with the head gaskets and exhaust ports not fitting the header gaskets...? Anyone try Magnum exhaust gaskets on these heads ?
