Rim Blow steering wheel

Has any body restored or at least replaced the horn strip on one of these? Just wondering how hard is it to do?

i remember doing this years ago if i remember write it not that bad of a job.with the wheel off you just have to becarful with the ring not to kink it.mabe someine could be more helpfull.

I believe Steering Wheels by Mike will restore these but the cost is pretty steep.
