Rockabilly Car show Aug 16/14

We went to the 5th Anniversary Rockabilly Car Show August 16th, 2014...this is a two day mixed car show and from what I gather, the cars were quite different on Sunday. All cars compete in the same class. There is great live music and a lot of woman dress the part...including my daughter this year.

It is more of a low key even but you always get punters at every show..

The one car I thought I thought I took pictures of was a 69 (I think) Cornet 500..almost legend lime in colour from California...the next time I see it I shall grab a picture..

The host always shows of his latest creation and I gather he won a reward for it at the Moncton Nats ...I gather that the base car started with was a Chrysler 300....the very first car that the gent parked beside us in his latest 300.

These cars showed up about 10 minutes apart ..parked in one place and then moved. The second car did the exact same thing. I looked at buying one in '85 and it would have been over 30K..

This '71 lived around Truro..some of the NB guys may know this car...he goes to Debert every year..

I liked em. I wanna know what it's like to drive that far forward in that low a car. (the top one). Also every car show ive been to - the dolls creep me out too. I don't get the purpose. Just looks weird.

I suspect it would be like driving a cab over but lower to the ground.

He does drive it..it was at a car show that I attended last weekend.

The Rockabilly show is held in Canning, NS. WE live in Port Williams, not too far away from this site....maybe 20 minutes.

You girlfriend is @ 1.5 hours from me.
