so whats the real benifit of clevite h series bearings to the p series, and is h series better for a street strip machine or strictly for a strip machine, i know the p's have more high eccentricity than the h's
In general, its better to run the P style on the street. H type dont have as much "Babbitt" to them and and have more steel on the back side, and are for the high pounding force of a race type engine. The P style would get beat to death and not last as long in a race engine.
H bearings are fine on the street, just not as forgiving if you oil gets dirty. They dont have as much embedding ability as the P.
