I'm thinking the person that installed the roll bar did not measure correctly. If anyone has a caged Barracuda I'd like a couple measurements to compare.
-Door bars, where it attaches to the main hoop, from floor
-The hoop crossbar, from the floor to the bar
-gap between the top of the hoop and the ceiling
It looks like a raised platform was made to get the hoop higher. In other cars I've had, the hoop was welded to the plate that was welded to the floor.
Also, when I sit in the seat, the door bar doesn't reach between my elbow and shoulder until it contacts the main hoop.
I'm almost thinking the cage is for another car!!

I have a '68 with a cage, so I'll try and get some measurements for you. It'll take me a day or two though. Did this guy use a "kit"? I'm just curious because in my experience, the kits never fit quite right. My cage was custom bent for my car. I wouldn't do it any other way!
