roller rocker problem

someone put roller rockers in a 340 engine that came in a 68 barracuda the engine was supposed to been built for racing but i dont know it has had modifications done to it the car has a setup for drag racing but anyway the roller rockers are going down to far and hitting the valve springs what do i need to do to stop them from hitting

Start all over again? That's a pretty specific question and would get much better results if you posted pictures.

You should post a pic where they are hitting. Normally the spring/retainer is closest to the rocker with the valve closed.
There are several ways to get more clearance. You can grind for clearance, shim the rocker shafts, or install -.050 valve stem locks.

Probably what's going is, someone put self aligning rockers where they don't belong, but without pictures, that's only a guess.
