Anyone got any advice on removing the old seam sealer and installing new roof seam sealer above the doors?

Previous owner painted over the seam sealer and when working on some rust spots the old seam sealer crumbles away!...so i was planning on redoing it-
I read you need a caulking gun, seam sealer, etc...correct?

thanks for the help in advance!

I used a thin wire brush attached to a drill to clean it out. I wiped it clean with M600 3M solvent then caulked on the seam sealer and thinned it down a bit with a gloved fingertip.

Or use the black "biscuit" type wheels attached to the drill.........

Are you talking about the area of the drip rails? I believe some members have mentioned using construction butyl or urethane sealer in a tube from a hardware store.

yes the drip rail area on the roof of the car
anyone have pics of theirs completed?
just wanted to see what it looks like with no paint over it!

thx
