I'm in the market for a rotisserie, and really don't have the time to actually build one. Was looking at the Summit brand one that extends to 16', or the PRO version of the Auto Twirler (which I saw at the Nats and really liked), which goes to 19'. I'm not sure how long of one I need for my Dart or Demon to fit on. Was curious if anyone knew exctly. Enough of a price difference that I'd rather get the Summit one. Seems overall dimensions for the cars I have is right over 16', but since that includes bumpers and such, I might be able to get away with it. If anyone has some help on this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Well, the way I look at it, you can always slide the tubes together to shorten the long roto, but you would have to add your own tubing to lengthen the short one.

I have put everything from a Newport to a truck cab on mine.

we bought one from Northern tool, a couple years ago

Measure from the points where you will be attaching to. Since as you said bumpers and such will be coming off.

If 16 ft is max and your car is close to that I would go with the longer unit.
As another posted you can always make it shorter.
