Sail Panel Tabs Bend which way?

I am getting ready to put the sail panel boards up, and there is this tab that runs along the bottom (the parts arent oriented correctly in the picture). It needs to be bent over It is scored for this, but I dont know which way it goes. Does it bend inward towards the center of the car or the opposite way? I have the original panels (at leas one) but it wasnt installed when I got it, so I am uncertain.
