Hey guys, haven't posted in awhile, I recently order a 5.7 Hemi w/ trans, conversion kit, brand new 8 3/4 rear end and a few misc parts for my 1972 Scamp, well time for a new set of wheels since mine are getting old.

Was thinking of going a little bigger then my 15s, but I definatly don't want the ghetto gangster look by any means. I was thinking of going with the American Racing Salt Flat wheels in a 17x7 in front and possibly a 17x10 in the rear. Since I am looking at painting my scamp from the gloss red it is, to a greyish color that somewhat looks like the wheels, wondered how well it would look.

Basically I was wondering if anybody has those wheels on a 70s A-Body, or seen them to note if they look that good?

P.S. I also like the look of Cragar's Gray Painted Street Pro and Bonneville rims. Any info would be great, thanks.

i think you could put big wheels on a car but I think it comes down to stance...

You might have your work cut out for you getting a 17x10 under a Scamp/Swinger without minitubs. I know I can fit a 9" wheel under my 69 Valiant 100, but the backspacing has to be JUST RIGHT. Easier on a Barracuda or a Duster, but will still take some work. Not saying you shouldn't try it, but do a LOT of measuring before you buy wheels.
