In the early/mid 70's, the Modified Production classes had a lot of cross breeding, any American iron running cubes to weight. I know I saw several Dusters with SBC's.....Who knows, maybe a Cleveland powered Mopar might have been competitive. :)

If he used the early Cleveland/400 2V or 351C 4V heads and not the 74 and up 351M/400 heads, he had a better cylinder head out of the box than ever was on a Mopar.

The problem was, like everything else in that era, the engines were getting smogged to death. The 335 series engines were perhaps the hardest hit.

The 351C had 550 plus HP potential and could have been a player in the 70s.

Like everything else. What couldda been.
