So the time has come to pass the torch. She is going to the right person, my son in law, who has mechanical aptitude and a love of vintage machines. LIke many of you I have put my heart and soul into the acquisition and restoration of this teenage dream come true. Many of you have shared the journey and provided help, good advice and even parts she is riding around with. Thank you. Here is a part of her history.

Congrats!??!?? It's great that you have confidence in passing the torch and it stays in the family! Sad to see it go, unfortunately I'll have to sell at some point as keeping it would be beyond my kids skills.

Oh I'm not done with mopars! Hot tramp is just the one I have had longest and I got her because she was like my first real hot rod.

My Dad and I 30 years ago replacing the top.

That Charger has bodacious ta ta's. The cones on the 69 convert are righteous as well. We have one grandson with hope of passing the torch to on the 65 Barracuda. Our granddaughter Lenayx is a shoe in for her grandma's 67 Barracuda convertible. Her and I sit in it and her hands go tight on the steering wheel. She is 15 months old...A pure natural.

Sounds bittersweet, but I can relate.

So are you going to change your user name/handle here?

No not changing the name. The 69 Barracuda is a convertible too. Besides all you guys would have to start a whole new patch of insults, I mean advice! lol

So incase you didn't know, Hot because she ran hot until I found out the cam was cut 5 degrees retarted and I tried everything including shroud, aluminum radiator, electric booster fan, water wetter, multiple thermostat changes etc until I degreeded the cam. Tramp because she was made up of multiple year components like a 76 400 and 727 trans, both rebuilt to my specifications, a 70 duster 8 3/4 rear limited slip 3.55 (thank you @roccodart440 } and too many parts from similar cars too mention. Run well!!!!

Just collecting parts now for my 340 swap
Driving this season
Body over winter...
Swap the following winter
Last 69 only parts I need are valve covers

Torch passing in progress! I'm learning as much as I can from @69conv as he has the experience of building it the way she sits now. Started small with a tail light lens cover and wiper blades! LOL... Next up is carburetor/gas pedal adjustments to get full open when pedal is on the floor.

Also wanted to share this picture about 25 minutes later.

The car would not start when we got caught by a train and I shut the engine off while we waited. The battery died, jumped it and spent easter with the family while the Dart was on a charger.

Classic start with this yellow lady. Not to worry though, this Dart and I are working on our relationship.
