Jpar, what do you do about the base circle getting lower and lower? Do you have adjustable rockers?
Initially the purple performance cam that was in my 318 was taken to Ken and ground the base Circle and was set up with custom Smith Brothers pushrods to make up the difference and keep the geometry correct. This last time I ground the same cam again but not needing as much lift so there was no need for base Circle grinding.
I do have Hughes 1.6:1 roller rockers. Geometry is extremely close as in they're not adjusted out except for the minimal amount. As in these pushrods would probably be too long for a stock cam.
 
with the lower lift the valve train seems so stable now it feels like I could just drop a brick on the gas pedal and forget aboutwit and it would never float.
