SBM starter tooth count on Tuff Stuff mini 6084B

So, My new Tuff Stuff mini starter # 6084B only has a 9 tooth gear, my original Mopar starter has a 10 tooth gear. Did Tuff Stuff mis-package something? Obviously the tooth engagement is all wrong and it howls like a wounded dog when cranking. Anybody else run into this?

Yes...I have run into this and it ticks me off. Started chewing on my new torque converter teeth in a bad way. :mad:
 
It helps if you count the teeth on your replacement starter before you fit it.
Only got yourself to blame if you fit the wrong one.
 
Well it's just elementary, Inspector Lestrade.
