Does anyone know if Scarebird is still in business ?

heard they made a good disk conversion for my sweptline ....don't know

The web site is still up , but won't answer email. I got a conversion for my A100 van years ago. Nice and cheap.

wonder if it works on sweptline ,the kit i bought i don't like

This kit looks a little different from what I have
DRT SB1025-Mopar 1965-72 Dodge, Plymouth A body, Disc Conver

Heres what I have. 4" bolt pattern. use different calipers also

There was another outfit called Pirate Jack Brakes. They were located in Asheville, just a few hundred feet from the Swannanoa River. Helene washed most of the buildings where they were located away, so I don't know if they made it or not. Hadn't thought about it until I saw this post!

I think the Scarebird kit uses Toyota rotors, so if there's a part number on the rotors...you might be able to look it up and see if that's what they are.

A friend did this on a 2nd gen Barracuda, that front suspension is on my 62 Valiant now.

Captain obvious here, on the a-body 'kit,' not a complete kit, read description, you still have to buy calipers/rotors separately and use some of your original parts/or replace.

He also had issues with rotor runout and later had to buy offset shims, for between the hub/rotor, from them to correct.

They work great on my 62, but I didn't have to go through the parts procurement/installation/set-up process.

Too late for that
All ready rebuilt my whole i beam
I bought some disk brake setup with gm brake set up
But it spaces the wheel bearing 1/4 " out and not enough room for the cotter pin
Guys have done mods to make it fit
Dont like it
So either back to drums or heard the scare bird was the way to go
Thinking might just stay with the drums

Correct, for the most part the caliper adapters and a few bolts, on my D200 there was some machining to do and I needed a shim on the rotor (to hub)
They give you the shopping list.
