Master of All Mopars
After searching for 2 years for a rebuildable 440 at a reasonable price I finally found one. Around here everyone thinks anything mopar is worth its weight in gold, or they take good cars and parts cars to the crusher to get their $200. Off of Craigslist I found a complete 76 440 out of a truck with only 30,000 miles on it for $75. I just got done stripping it down and it looks really good. Bearing look like new and both rods and mains are stock dimensions. Pistons and rings look great with no scoring on the skirts and the heads looked freshly redone with the 2.14/1.88 valves. The only thing missing was the harmonic balancer and the distributor. I guess patience is its own rewards, This should be a cheap rebuild for the Cuda!!!
