Has anyone ever used urethane seam filler in a caulk cartridge to replace/repair behind the drip rail?

I have seen a few posts here where brush-able sealer has been used, but being a carpenter by trade I think I'd get better results with the caulk gun method.

They make a caulking gun seam sealer. You just need to remember that it need to be paintable. Some urethane's will not let paint stick to them.

I just used a 3M product that was for a caulking gun. Worked great, paintable and was able to smooth the bead real nice.

It is good stuff, workable and dries smooth. I use lacquer thinner to smooth and clean up.

I used tubes of Dynatron. (Which is a 3M brand) Worked good
