Seat cleaner before paint

What cleaner do you use on seats before you paint them? I'v got a '72 Swinger

I start with a generic cleaner like 409 and get the regular dirt and grime off. Then SEM vinyl cleaner and vinyl prep. Painting vinyl is like painting anything else....it's all about the prep, so ensure that everything is nice and clean and prepped so you have nice, long lasting results.

go to a paint supply store they should have a prep for this as I recall it cleans and softens the vinyl
