My son has 72 A body seats the tracks are missing the locking leaver’s. on the inboard tracks one side has locking notches but the other side is smooth inside. My question is can you get the inter locking lever? And why is there a difference between the two enter track locking mechanism? I will show pictures hopefully you can see what I’m talking about. Thanks KB9GIB

At some point during the 1971 model year, the inner latches were no longer used.

So for a '72 you have no worries.

It's a bit obvious, but......

They discovered that a latch on one side was enough.

The seat frame holds the top tracks square.

The floor holds the bottom tracks square.

So with only one catch, the tracks work in unison without binding.

Ok thanks I appreciate your information very much. KB9GIB
