Hi.

I have a '65 Barracuda.

After six months, I've received my completely stripped front and rear seat frames back from the chemical stripper. I completely disassembled the seat tracks to have them nickel plated and powder coated. I took many photos of the disassembly, but then lost the photos when that camera died. Can anyone point me to a decent set of diagrams, illustrations, or photos of exactly how the seats and especially seat tracks go together?

Thanks!

I have a set of 66 bucket seats sitting in shop, i can get pictures if you want.

Tim, I am in the same predicament as R3, I am putting together a 66 barracuda and need same, pics of tracks. thanks ahead of time on this.

Very tough to get any pictures that show any detail. what area do you want to see? I can disassemble the seat to get better pictures.

I just need to see how the bottom tracks bolt up and on which side of top rail. Which way the bottom bolt flanges point, etc. I am putting together an abandoned project car and wasn't the one that took it apart. Its been challenging but fun. Bonus- I am in garage instead of sitting on couch. thanks for any help.

Hey, thanks for offering to take some photos. I'm sure I'll need several pics as the process progresses, but let's start at the beginning.

Here is one of my seats starting with a top view of the bottom of the seat. The next photo is the same but closer in, just to help with identification. The last photo shows the same but with the half of the seat track assembly.

I've circled two areas where fasteners go. They appear to want plow or carriage bolts, which is fine. On the bottom red circle I can easily fasten a plow or carriage bolt (5/16-18) into the square and tighten it with a nut from the back.

In the top circle there's an identical square for a plow bolt, but with a welded nut on the back of the frame so there's no way to thread in the plow bolt.

What does yours look like?

Thanks again for helping!
