I am having a problem with my gas gauge in my 73 duster 340. I think I have it down to a bad sending unit. as the gauge needle works , just reads wrong- so grounds are good. strap good etc. I am having a guy do the new one, I am buyi ng a good unit from year one, I just don,t know if the unit in there now is 5/16 or a 3/8.??? tank is new , but not sure if sender is stock or repo as it was installed by the previous owner. I cannot take out the unit that's in now, guy putting in new one is going to do it, so how do I know what size to order? is 5/16 the more standard size? thanks much for any info
