Shafers model car thread

-
Of all the models I have built over the years not one has been a car kit. LOL I have like 30 Mopar kits in the stash so I better get to work on them. I do planes for the most part. I started on a 69 Ford Talladega kit but it is only half done. Ya I know but I did not want to start out with one of my Mopar kits in case I jack it up. Will not care if I mess up the Ford kit.

You have made some nice models Shafer. Sweet work.

Well it looks like my model building is going to sloooow down now. The weather is getting better. Just finished up a 74 GTX kit to match my
73 Satellite Sebring Plus. I'll get pics up as soon as I can.
I just can't wait to get the real thing out.

Here's what I build, the Mopars were sold in the charity auction. I hope to start building again soon. I wanted to offer to build junker models for FABO members of their cars, maybe once I start feeling better I can do that.

Anybody willing to put this model together for me, I'm disabled and my hands don't work. Have had this resin kit and /6 engine and rally wheels for quite some time, just need to get it put together and make it look like mine! Please PM me, let's make a deal. :)

Great looking models in this thread!

I'd love to build a '67 Dart up like mine but sadly no '67 model kits and I no longer have the patience anyways :p
buy a 68 and make the modificatonds , it would be easy
all you have to do is :
sand powerbulge off till hood is flat
instead of using taillights provided place in a piece of reflctive red tape
sand centerof grill smooth and paint silver
use white decals for front park lights and rear bumper backup lights
and sand off porthole side markers.
it would be an easy build.

That would require patience though. I traded my patience plus cash for my Dart :D

Love the builds guys! I have a whole bunch of models, almost all Mopars, ranging from the 60's through modern. I haven't built one in decades though. I guess I like the box art...
