So, being that there have been a couple other model building threads started, I figured I would revisit this one... I have finally started building a model of my 69 Dart.. (bills buggy) .. now this GTS kit has some obvious differences.. No vinyl top (which my car has) a 383 big block (mines a small block) ..the power bulge hood (mine has the flat hood with a dual snorkel scoop aka the Duster scoop) etc etc... but I will get it as close to my actual car as possible.. and I will eventually get a flat hood and scoop.. Here is the progress so far... I will post more as I get more done..

great build - you can sand that hood down til it is flat but be careful just sand until paper thin it will show a hole if you sand too much.

I was thinking about that.. however once I turned the hood upside down, it doesnt look like you can sand it flat without going through.. I will eventually order the proper hood and scoop.. for now I am just gonna leave the flat black bulged hood on it... I think my first attempt at a vinyl top came out ok though.. masking that puppy off was a pain LOL

it will sand flat it is just paper thin so you can see through it, the top looks great.

I love my Willie(s),lol!!! Seriously want to build at least one 40's era Willies kit one day..But have a couple kits waiting in the wings. A nice GTX,and a biplane of some sort. Might be a boat kit too, cant remember.

got the ford given to me so thought it could be a cool old nostalgia car,and it's got a 392 hemi....

Awesome builds guys. I'm a modeler as well. Will post up a few pics later when I have the time.
