what is the best method of shaving your heater core holes in the fire wall any pics would be great!!!

drive it in the summer only? just cut patches and weld em in. grind welds down and skim coat with filler. prime and block as needed.

If it were mine, I would build or buy block-off plates for both the heater core holes and blower motor hole. Attach with screws using existing holes and factory seals, and also paint to match engine compartment or use the natural finish of the metal. Easy to undo if you decide to run heater at a later time. Here's one you could buy. or copy, for heater motor: http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/maraheblblof.html

I'll try to post info later with pictures I'm using a small street rod heater for defrost ony

I won't be driving the car on cold days summer and nice days only! Any pics of your guys engine bay would be cool!

Thank for this link. I've had a crummy home grown block off plate for over a decade. I'm ordering one of these!

As far as the cold weather goes, not sure about you guys but my car will never see salt or snow.
