the shift collar moves when i turn the steering wheel bad enough that when i am driving sometimes when i make a left turn it will pop into neutral.

I couldn't find a clear enough picture to link to, but there is a single screw that tightens the clamp that secures the housing to the column. You do have to pull the wheel, and I can't recall if anything else inside the housing has to be removed to gain access.

*Saw your other post about an aftermarket wheel, so that's a more probable cause.

i got it in proper working order it was the bearings being dry and sticky and the shaft was misaligned. thank you for your input.
