I am trying to remove the shift lever. It is a column shift and the pin that holds the lever to the column would not budge. What is the proper way to remove?

Thanks,
db

db,

I used a nail slighly smaller than the pin. Cut the end flat and used a hammer and tapped it out. It will come out but it's tight. Besides nails are cheap. Make sure you have the shifter in park, first though because once you pull the shift lever out......
