Shift Light Trouble

I have the proform adjustable shift light & i have the MSD 6a series igintion.

i wired up my shift light according to directions (red wire to iginition source, green wire to MSD tach output, and black wire to ground) and when i flip my ignition switch on the shift light stays on constant

i set the rpm to 3000 & when my car does 3000 it doesnt matter the shift light stays on constantly.

Problem solved, the shift light was grounding itself out on the steel dash

when i called proform he asked where i mounted it, i said on a steel dash & he knew right away. thx
