Ok I am down to one last detail, not really but I would at least like to be able to drive the car. Any way the adapter plate that mounts to the tranny, which allows for the mounting of the shifter mech. I have a 78 OD 4 speed and a E-body hurst shifter, bayonet style handle not sure of the year, this is all installed in a 64 2dr hardtop valiant. I have notice on the parts sites there are two listing for adapter plates one for early a-bodies and one for 68 and up a-bodies....which one would be best for my application....and does anyone have one that is a tad cheaper than the 50 clams they want.......sorry I am cheap and broke...just want to get this detail taken care of......
